Nigeria winger Philip Azango says he is delighted to be joining KAA Gent on transfer deadline day.
The 21-year-old sealed a three-year move to the Belgian club on Friday, ending his one-year stay with AS Trencin in the process.
Azango passed a medical and signed onto the three-year agreement reportedly worth €0.6m.
The ex Nasarawa United playmaker says he is excited to be making the move and is now looking forward to help his side achieve success this season.
“I’m very excited to have joined KAA Gent,” Azango told Futbalgalore.com.
“They were clear in their interest in me, and I can’t wait to play in the Jupiler League.
”The club has a great history and is one of big four in Belgium.
“I’m really looking forward to working with technical staff, meeting my new teammates and settling into Gent.
“I’ve been told it’s a beautiful area with great people and food – but most of all I’m looking forward to working hard to deliver results for KAA Gent and its fans.
