Nigeria’s national coach, Gernot Rohr, reflected on his side’s 3-0 victory in Seychelles by saying he was happy with the outcome.
The Super Eagles came away from the Stade Linite with a victory in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday.
Speaking to Futbalgalore.com, Rohr acknowledged his side’s superiority in the game.
“We clearly showed our superiority and hit them at the right time,” he said to Futbalgalore.com.
“It was not an easy game because Seychelles fought so much and were very aggressive. Am satisfied with the result.”
He also admitted that Seychelles came all out in the second half.
“They wanted to get a result. Second half was more difficult because we had the wind to contend with and against a fighting team,” commented Rohr.
The Eagles coach concluded saying they had done what they came to do.
“We will try to win our remaining games. We cannot think any other way. We have fulfilled our objectives, this match was good preparation for our next game,” he added.
