IK Start striker Akinyemi Adeleke was delighted with his team’s sparkling display in the 3-0 win over Lillestrom on Sunday afternoon in the 22nd round of games in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
The former Ventspils forward opened his goal account for Start.
”The game was a nice one for us all though it wasn’t easy because it was a big fight between us and Lillestrom.
”But we gave everything to make sure we got the important three points that has taken us to the 14th place in the table,” Akinyemi Adeleke told Futbalgalore.com.
After firing blanks in his first three matches, the 20-year-old opened his account for the season, scoring the first goal of the game.
”Yes, this was my first goal and I thank God for giving me the goal today (Sunday) because I have been looking forward to it.
”I have missed some chances in the past games, but I finally got it today and I know more is coming,” he added.
IK Start, who have 20 points from 22 games, are guests to Bodoe/Glimt in the next round.
