Nigerian forward Simeon Bolaji has promised to do everything within his power for Horoya Athletic Club to overcome Al Ahly in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.
The former Abia Warriors and Rivers United forward who plies his trade with Guinean Ligue 1 Outfit, Horoya Athletic Club is eligible to play for more than one country as stipulated by the rules of world soccer governing body FIFA. He was born in Ivory Coast to Nigerian parents and currently based in Conakry, Guinea.
Horoya face a daunting task in the return leg following a goalless draw in Conakry.
”We just need to focus on each game as it comes. The game against Al Ahly isn’t going to be easy because they are a top side, but we’ll be doing our best to go up there and win it.
“No one gave us the chance to get to this stage. We want to continue our fairytale.
“They (Al Ahly) are the favourites to go through but we have our plays tonight. We will shock them right in front of their fans,” Simeon Bolaji told Futbalgalore.com.
The Al Ahly-Horoya match will be played at the Al Salam Stadium on Saturday 22nd September.
