Executive Chairman of Karu Council Area of Nasarawa State, Honourable Samuel Akala, has thrown his weight behind Nasarawa United FC to top the Group B table of the 2018/2019 abridged Nigerian Professional Football League Season
Honourable Akala stated this to the press during the matchday 18 encounter between Nasarawa United versus Kano Pillars which eventually ended 0-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday.
The former aide to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura revealed that he has been a passionate fan of the Solid Miners as he has been following up with all their games.
“I have been following all their games, both home and away. Today, am privileged to be in Lafia, so I have to make it a duty to watch them play.
“There is a big future for our boys. I have been one person who has been highly supportive of the team in whatever capacity and daily praying for them to succeed”, Akala said.
The Executive Chairman of the most economically viable Council Area in Nasarawa State due to its proximity to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, added that he foresees Nasarawa United ruling club football in Nigeria in the nearest future going by the developmental plans on ground.
Revealing parts of his programmes for sporting development in Karu Council Area, the Chairman described Karu as the hub of virtually all sporting talents in Nasarawa State, saying though the Council is challenged as to where to locate a mini stadium, the Council, however, is working assiduously to get a befitting location and the right investors who can partner with it to construct a world-class sporting edifice to house multi-sports facilities to encourage more talents discovery.
