Katsina United Manager Abdulllahi Biffo has revealed that he is enjoying the healthy competition in the goalkeeper department ahead of start of the start of the Flying Eagles’ FIFA U20 World Cup campaign.
Olawale Oremade has been Nigeria’s number one since impressing at the 2019 AFCON U20 tournament.
He has has been tremendous in training.
Detan Ogundare has been solid for his club Kogi United in the Nigeria National League.
Italy based Jonathan Zaccala was extraordinary at the team’s training camp.
Biffo says the keen competition amongst the goalkeepers is a good sign for the team.
“A good goalkeeper can win games. The coaches have watched all goalkeepers in camp. As a Nigerian, am extremely happy at the level at which they are operating,” Biffo told Futbalgalore.com.
“Anyone who eventually gets the nod should be able to deliver.”
Nigeria will take to the pitch at the Tychy Stadium against Qatar in the opening match of Group D of the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup finals on Friday. Kickoff is 5pm Nigerian Time.
