Bursaspor Kulübü Derneği defender Shehu Abdullahi has apologized to the club’s supporters following their demotion from the Turkish Super Lig, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The Green Crocodiles defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 2-1 on the final day of competition last Sunday to finish in 16th place with 37 points.
“My deepest apologies to all the supporters of @bursaspor for a disappointing season. Your support throughout the tough times has always been great,” the former Kano Pillars star wrote via Instagram.
“Thank you for sticking by us and I know you will continue to do so. The spirit of the club will not allow this setback to hold us down. We will rise again with the motivation to get back to where we belong.
The 26-year-old was involved in 1 goal in 13 matches in the 2018/19 Turkish Super Lig season for the Yeşil Timsahlar.
Anorthosis Famagusta, CF União Madeira, Al-Qadisiya Kuwait, Kano Pillars and Plateau United are the teams he represented before moving to Bursaspor Kulübü Derneği in January 2018.
