Nigeria midfielder Raheem Lawal has returned to training after nine months off with an ankle injury.
Lawal started slight training on Wednesday in Lagos, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The 29-year-old has been out with the injury since last playing for Al lttihad Kalba FC during the club’s 6-2 loss to Al Wahda in the Arabian Gulf League Cup at the Sheikh Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi on the 31st August, 2018.
He went through a successful surgery at the Rashid Hospital Trauma Center after the injury setback.
Before teaming up with Al lttihad Kalba FC, Lawal played for Turkish side Osmanlispor but injury was his greatest undoing. He was released following the team’s relegation.
