Player of Nigerian descent on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham has been named to the European U21 Team of the Week.
Football statistics website Whoscored picked Tammy as one of the three forwards in a 4-3-3 formation along with teammate Mason Mount.
Tammy Abraham landed on the Team of the Week after terrorizing the Norwich City defense in a 3-2 win in which he scored a brace for the Blues.
According to Whoscored, “Tammy Abraham silenced some of his doubters with a brace in Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Norwich on Saturday. The 21-year-old scored his two goals from three attempts and also registered one key pass. Many have questioned whether Abraham has what it takes to lead the line for Chelsea and he will now hope to kick on.”
Abraham was named in attack in the ceremonial Team of the Week alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, and was rated 8.32.
