Goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye has claimed that his Plateau United side have to play a ‘perfect match’ if they are to beat Simba SC in the CAF Champions League second leg preliminary round.
In the first leg encounter in Jos, the Peace Boys lost 1-0 to Simba SC.
United travel to Tanzania to face Simba, looking for a win in the return leg clash.
“We will not give up until the last minute,” he told Futbalgalore.com.ng at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Wednesday. “We want to win, score and play well.
“We need to prove ourselves. Winning would give us real confidence.
“Simba are a strong team so we’ll have to play the perfect match to win.
“They are a physical team, but this is football not basketball. Weekend is important for us, it will be decisive and we are ready for it.”
Plateau United will face Simba SC at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium (Dar-es-Salaam) on December 5. Kickoff is 2pm.
