We have no option but to win in Tanzania – Ikefe

Plateau United defender Andrew Ikefe has conceded that they have ‘no options’ but to win against Simba SC in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The Jos based side travel to Dar-es-Salaam to face the Simba in the second leg of the CAF Champions League game, and do so after a 1-0 loss in the first leg.

“We did not start on the right foot,” Andrew Ikefe told Futbalgalore.com at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Wednesday night. “But the feeling we got from the loss to Simba has served as a lesson to us. We can also beat them in the return leg.

“We have no options but to get something from the game which is a convincing win. We need to compete and that’s our target in Tanzania.

“Hopefully in the away game we can strike a blow and get a good result.”

Plateau United will face Simba SC at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium (Dar-es-Salaam) on December 5. Kickoff is 2pm.
