Kano Pillars manager Lionel Emmanuel Soccoia says his side is capable of overturning a two-goal deficit against ASC Jaraaf in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
The two teams will meet at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Saturday for the return leg of their tie, with Jaraaf holding a 3-1 lead after a convincing win last weekend.
Masu Gida have struggled to find goals in recent time, but Soccoia is optimistic that a spree of scoring is not far off for his team.
“The most important thing is, as long as we’re creating opportunities, but we certainly need to be taking them, there’s no two ways about it. A comeback is possible,” Soccoia told Futbalgalore.com.ng at the Kaduna Township Stadium on Friday morning.
“We have been training ahead of the game against ASC Jaraaf. We want to win by 2-0 or 3-0 in the second leg. It is very important we qualify.”
“In the first leg game in Senegal, we looked tired after a good first 45 minutes,” he recalled.
“Now we have rested and are ready for the game in Kaduna.”
“We want to score goals and not concede. We need to win for the fans, the team and Kano Pillars. It is very important that we win.”
The game between Kano Pillars and ASC Jaraaf will take place at Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is 4pm.
