Chairman of Ottasolo International Football Club, Gabriel Davies believes the Flying Eagles of Nigeria would get better in their next match against Ghana.
The Ladan Bosso tutored lads started their 2020 WAFU B U20 Cup of Nations campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cote d’Ivoire at the Stade Charles de Gaulles on Sunday.
Christopher Nwaeze’s goal on the hour mark was cancelled out by Ousmane Traore at the first minute of stoppages.
Despite the heartbreaking equaliser, Gabriel Davies believes the Flying Eagles will come back stronger against Ghana.
“These boys are bundle of talents, they really impressed. Their performance gave us much to cheer here in Port Novo,” Gabriel Davies told Futbalgalore.com.ng.
“The goal we conceded was as a result of loss of concentration on the part of our boys. I hope the lapses noticed would be corrected by the technical crew.”
“I am very positive of what these boys can achieve in Benin Republic. They will get better in the next game against Ghana, as three points is non negotiable,” he concluded.
Nigeria face Ghana at Stade Charles de Gaulles in their final Group B match on Wednesday. Kick-off is 4pm Nigerian time.
