Former Rangers International central midfielder Obinna Nwobodo was in action for Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig on Wednesday.

The former Ujpest player was a 89th minute entrant against Alanyaspor at the Gursel Aksel Stadium.

Nwobodo replaced the tired Halil Akbunar.

Ex West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye wasn’t dressed for the game.

Nwobodo represented Nigeria at the CAF U-20 Championship 2015. He scored a vital goal in the semi-final against Ghana as the Nigerian team went on to win the championship. He suffered an injury during the final which subsequently ruled him out of the U-20 World cup later in 2015.
