Three months after pitching tent with Kano Pillars, midfielder Tamara Ezekiel has been laid off the club.
The young player is reportedly not part of the plans of coach Lionel Emmanuel Soccoia.
He hasn’t featured for the club this season both in the CAF Confederation Cup and the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Reasons for club’s decision to sack the enforcer wasn’t known as at press time.
It will be recalled that Tamara’s unveiling ceremony took place at the Pillars secretariat in October 2020 with the management presenting him to the supporters.
The 20-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Sai Masu Gida after ending his spell with Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi.
Ezekiel Tamara who is one of the fast rising defensive midfielders in the league rose through ranks at Lobi Stars and made his debut under the late Solomon Ogbeide in 2018.
