Nigerian born winger Samuel Folarin has expressed joy at netting his first professional goal, reports.

The youngster scored what turned out to be a consolation for Middlesbrough who lost 2-1 to Brentford in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.

“Unfortunate to get knocked out of the Cup but happy to score my first professional goal,” Samuel Folarin wrote via Instagram.

Folarin joined Middlesbrough in the summer of 2019 following a successful trial.

The product of non-league club Tooting and Mitcham United FC is highly rated by the Technical crew of Middlesbrough.

He won Middlesbrough’s Goal of the Month award for February 2020 for his brilliant strike against Blackburn Rovers U23s.
