Goalkeeper Danlami Umar has explained that whilst it is difficult, Nasarawa United intend to maintain their strong start to the season against Kano Pillars.
The Solid Miners play host to Sai Masu Gida as Nigeria Professional Football League action continues on Sunday with Week 3’s fixtures.
Both teams head into the game in good form, but confidence appears highest with those in Lafia. Nasarawa United have picked six points against Pillars four.
“We go into the game with a clear idea of our play, in a good run of form and this can give us our chance,” mused forward Umar to Futbalgalore.com.ng on Saturday.
“They are Pillars and any player can win the game for them and that is always dangerous.
“Our intention is to continue our form, these six points give us respite and more strength to face a game as complicated as this one, in which we know it will be difficult to win.
“Having six points already gives us the tranquility and therefore we can face the game in confidence.
“We are eager to continue our pace and the good moment that the team is enjoying, even as we know that facing Pillars won’t be easy.
“But we continue with the idea of growing and with the hope of winning a game like this.”
