“We must learn from Adamawa United lesson”

Goalkeeper Danlami Umar says that Nasarawa United must take the lessons learned from the midweek 0-0 draw with Adamawa United into their midweek clash with Katsina United.

Ahead of hosting the Changi Boys this Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League week five at the Lafia City Stadium, the Solid Miners have picked up eight points from a possible 12 and Umar has urged his teammates to focus.

“We were clearly better than Adamawa United in Gombe. That’s just Football. We created many chances without any good feelings,” reflected Umar to Futbalgalore.com.ng this week.

“The team pushed for the win. I think the bottom line is good, playing away from home.

“We need to reflect on what we did right and wrong in Gombe, but productively and take it in facing to Katsina United.

“Katsina United lost 3-0 at the midweek to Warri Wolves? Well, we must take advantage of that. It will not be an easy game because they have nothing to lose and will give it everything from the start, so we have to be alive to it and, if we can score first, it will make it an uphill task for them.

“Everything is favourable for a great Sunday, but I will tell you if it is after the game.

“We have to play like we usually do, with ease and looking to score goals.”
