Super sub Sadeeq Yusuf saw the chance of glory when he climbed off the bench to net the winner for Sunshine Stars against Warri Wolves on Sunday.
The striker who is yet to start a game this season for Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League, once again wrote himself into Owena Whales’ folklore when he netted the winning goal in Akure. It ended 1-0.
It will be recalled that Yusuf was the go-to man for Sunshine Stars as he levelled matters in the four-goal thriller with Lobi Stars at midweek.
The forward told Newsmen after the game against the Seasiders on Sunday, “I’m so glad we did it.”
“Our coach has taught us everything and we put it all to use and thank God we come out victoriously.
“I am looking to force my way into the starting XI and will continue with this form if I get into the starting line up. I am not just a second half joker.”
