Katsina United head coach Bashir Sadaoki may have seen his side defeated 1-0 by Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League, but the gaffer says there is still a lot to play for in the current season.
In the 49th minute, the home side broke the deadlock through defender, Uzochukwu Austin Chigozie, after he rose highest to nod Haggai Katoh’s corner kick into the back of the net.
Sadaoki was pleased with how his players performed, as they put the Solid Miners under some serious pressure.
“It is not over, as there are still more games to play in the ongoing season,” Sadaoki optimistically stated to Futbalgalore.com.ng post-match.
“We put Nasarawa United under some serious pressure this afternoon, demonstrating our style of play.
“Unfortunately, in the only moment that we faced some problems, they were able to find the back of the net.
“The first half could have ended in our favour, but we were not able to capitalise on our supremacy. They took their chance and won. Lapses noticed in the game today (Sunday) will be corrected when are back to Katsina.
“We will do our utmost best in subsequent games and forge ahead. The team, overall, was excellent, despite the result,” concluded Sadaoki.
