Enyimba midfielder Cyril Olisema has claimed that Kano Pillars were ‘very tough’ opponents on Sunday.
The People’s Elephants edged Pillars 2-1 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week five battle at the Enyimba International Stadium.
But the midfielder has admitted that the Kano side gave his team a run for their money.
“It was a very tough, intense match, in which both teams gave it everything and both had chances,” he told Futbalgalore.com.ng
“We scored at the right time and played with less pressure against a quality opposition.
Anayo Iwuala and Orok Gabriel hit target for the two-time CAF Champions League winners in Aba. Fahad Usman scored a consolation for Pillars late in the game.
“Anayo and Orok did a good job and helped the team a lot. Not just these two individuals it was a great team effort.”
