Nigeria winger Stanley Dimgba scores in Stellenbosch 3-2 loss to Baroka

Nigeria winger Stanley Dimgba scored his third goal of the season for Stellenbosch in the South African Premier Soccer League but suffered a 3-2 defeat to visitors Baroka FC.

The former Enyimba forward started from the bench but was introduced in the 64th minute to score the first goal for Stellenbosch.

Baroka opened scoring in the 39th minute thanks to Evidence Makgopa.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, Evidence Makgopa doubled the lead for his brace.

Coach Steve Barker made two double substitutions in the 64th minute, Azeemud Deen Brenner and Stanley Dimgba coming on to add bite to Stellenbosch attack.

The visitors would get their third goal of the evening in the 89th minute thanks to Gerald Phiri Junior.

Stellenbosch pulled two back at injury time through Dimgba and Ryan Moon.

Stanley Dimgba also lists Kwara United, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves as his former clubs.
