Nigeria striker Umar Sadiq scored his 10th league goal for Almeria in their 2-2 stalemate against Sabadell at the Estadio Mediterraneo on Sunday.
Umar, 23, netted for the home side in the 76th minute of the thrilling Spanish LaLiga2 week 22 fixture.
He was in action for 90 minutes, and has been playing a crucial role in Almeria’s push for LaLiga promotion.
The former Nigeria youth star is Almeria’s leading scorer in the Segunda Division with 10 goals in 19 league appearances so far this campaign.
Almeria, meanwhile, are third on the league table with 42 points from 21 games – three points adrift of joint leaders Espanyol and Mallorca.
Umar Sadiq will be aiming to help the Rojiblancos continue their good run when they host Castellon for their next league fixture on January 30.
The former AS Roma forward is one goal away from matching his personal goalscoring record in a league season, after he scored 11 goals in 18 Super Liga matches for Partizan Belgrade during the 2019-20 campaign.
