The United States Soccer Federation have moved to beat the Nigeria Football Federation and England Football Association to the services of Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun.

Born in the United States to Nigerian parents and raised in England, Balogun is eligible to represent all three nations at international level.

The in form Premier League 2 star is reportedly one of the new faces considered by manager Gregg Berhalter for the friendly clash against Northern Ireland on March 28 at Windsor Park in Belfast.

Balogun is considered as one of the most highly-rated prospects within the Gunners’ academy and was the subject of interest from both Sheffield United and Brentford last summer.

The 19-year-old has also expressed interest in playing for Nigeria, although he has stated that he enjoys England’s “style of play” which is “similar to Arsenal’s.

Do you think Folarin Balogun should honour the advances of USA and commit his international future to them?

Drop your compliments for Folarin Balogun.
