Adedipe trusts in Rivers United spirit

Rivers United midfielder Kehinde Adedipe believes a win at Enyimba in the CAF Confederation Cup play off first leg on Sunday is not impossible and that his team ‘can beat anyone’.

At the same time, the former Sunshine Stars enforcer insisted that the key to the match lies in the Port Harcourt outfit playing a good game.

According to the utility player, he trusts in Rivers United spirit.

“It’s not an impossible task and we can beat anyone. Every team can lose because continental is very competitive, with many quality players. I trust in Rivers United spirit.

“At any one time you could have a good shot and that might make the difference,” Adedipe told

“We must do a good job defensively and play well when we are on the counter-attack, which is one of our weapons.

“However, a match against Enyimba is never normal. We are going to the Enyimba International Stadium, which is a very nice stadium.

“We must try to face up to them as we would any other rival, with great determination, whilst being aware they are a great team. Things will be difficult but we have to play to our strengths and get a result,” he concluded.
