Goalkeeper Yusuf Mohammed insists the defeat to Akwa United “sparked something within” Katsina United that they’ll unleash on Jigawa Golden Stars.

The Changi Boys were beaten 3-1 last time out in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

They aim to get back on track this afternoon against Jigawa Golden Stars on Sunday.

“Mistakes can happen and are part of the sport,” Yusuf Mohammed told Futbalgalore.com.ng.

“The game is in the past now, so we have to focus on Jigawa Golden Stars.

“Despite the defeat in Uyo, we realised that we can battle it out with the top clubs. We emerged with our heads held high and it sparked something within us.

“Now the step up in quality will be repeating that performance against Jigawa Golden Stars.

Katsina United host Jigawa Golden Stars at Mohammodu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
