Kano Pillars manager Emmanuel Soccoia explained that he was “not happy” with the performance of his team in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this past weekend.

Masu Gida needed a late goal from defender Fahad Usman to secure a 1-0 win at home to MFM FC in Kaduna on Sunday afternoon.

“It wasn’t a good game, we didn’t play too well. We were very tired and had no tempo‚” Soccoia explained after the match, as quoted by Futbalgalore.com.ng.

“We scored at the right time, it was a relief for us. MFM is a good team, they gave us a difficult fight.”

The former Leopard manager added, “We can play quicker‚ but today (Sunday) we were slow in our build-ups. It is not the way we usually are‚ I am not happy with the performance.”
