Nigerian playmaker Yira Sor was in delightful form for Banik Ostrava FC as he helped them to defeat Trinec 2-0 in the Czech Republic Cup on Tuesday.
The 36 Lion product lasted the entire duration of the game at the Areál SC Vista (Ostrava) as Banik advanced to the next round of the competition with a great win over the visitors.
Though the 20-year-old could not score, he played an influential role in the win.
A brace from Jakub Pokorny swept Banik Ostrava in to the next round of the Cup on a proud afternoon for the club.
Sor led the Ostrava onslaught in search of a goal but was denied with a goal line clearance.
He was involved again in the early minutes – best two chances in the ensuing minutes fell to the hosts.
It was Jakub Pokorny who scored in the 67th and 86th minutes respectively for the Ostrava team.
