Yaw Preko has been appointed as the assistant manager of Ghanaian Premier League side Medeama, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah coach has worked with Hearts of Oak and Kings Palace FC in the past.
It is believed he has been in talks with Medeama for a few weeks.
Yaw Acheampong will work as Manager of the club, with Mohammed Hamza and Ben Owu joining the technical crew in other capacities.
Preko played 68 international matches for the Ghana national team, and was a member of the team that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
He handled FC Ifeanyi Ubah for almost two seasons after his boss Kenichi Yatsuhashi was fired following a short stint. He could not defend Ifeanyi Ubah’s Federation Cup title they won in 2016 after crashing out in the semi final to Niger Tornadoes in the following edition.
