Odion Ighalo has revealed the role of Ahmed Musa in his move to Saudi Arabia. He joined the league after his loan spell at Manchester United expired.
On 4 February 2021, the Nigerian striker joined Saudi Professional League club Al Shabab on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
During an interview with Sada Al Malaeb, Ighalo highlighted what Musa told him that convinced him to join the league. According to him, his presence in the league made him watch and know the strength.
“Musa praised the strength of the league, and by my friendship with him, I was watching his matches – the Saudi League is important and strong. I’m happy to be here as everyone in the club works professionally and provides all means of success.
Since joining the league, Ighalo has scored three goals and created an assist in six league games.
