Struggling Lobi Stars FC will engage Nasarawa United in a blockbuster match day 14 encounter of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League campaign in Lafia Sunday; and Lobi Stars defensive midfielder Osimaga Duke is confident the Makurdi-based side can hurt their hosts.
“We are going to Lafia to come back with a positive result.”
The Pride of Benue went six games unbeaten after their opening day loss to FC Ifeanyi Ubah but their form has gone down in recent weeks.
Agonizingly, they are the only side to have been defeated by Adamawa United this season when they lost 1-0 two match days ago.
Lobi are yet to win away from home this season but the ex Dakkada midfielder believes now is the time to do it against sixth – placed Nasarawa United.
“We are going to get our first victory away this season against Nasarawa United in Lafia”.
The Nasarawa United versus Lobi Stars tie is dubbed the “North-Central Derby” and will be a fight to finish at the Lafia City Stadium between the neighbours.
Lobi are ninth on the NPFL log with 19 points, just one behind Nasarawa United.
