Crystal Palace Under-18s moved to top of the Under-18 Premier League North table, thanks to a 2-1 victory at home to Chelsea.

The win extends Palace’s free-scoring form, after scoring 11 goals in the last three U18 Premier League North games.

As to be expected it was the Palace youngsters who dominated the ball in the early stages, it was Nigerian born David Omilabu gave the hosts the lead inside 42 minutes.

In the 54th minute, Silko Thomas netted to level things up for the Blues.

Palace then continued the hunt for the lead as we remained on the front foot throughout the second half.

The away side’s resiliant was broken three minutes from time as Omilabu scored from the penalty spot.

David Omilabu recently signed a professional contract with Palace.

Omilabu, aged 18, has been in excellent form so far this season, scoring 11 goals from 13 games for the Under-18s.
