After a long weekend of important games and significant results, Futbalgalore.com.ng picks the best XI from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) round 15.

Abiodun Akande [Rivers United]

If not for him Rivers United simply would have not picked a point. In the first half he made several top class saves, with more of the same in the second. Dogged.

Pascal Eze [Heartland]

Completely dominant at the back, especially in aerial battles as Heartland picked a point against Kwara United. Prevailing.

Kunle Odunlami [Rivers United]

Odunlami won everything in the air, totally dominating in the centre of defence despite heavy pressure from FC Ifeanyi Ubah. Determined.

Tebo Franklin [Nasarawa United]

Led Nasarawa United back line brilliantly. His anticipation and awareness also helped him block Sad’eeq Yusuf and his teammates out of the game. Commanding.

Ayo Adetola [Heartland]

Made the most of his central midfield position, stitching midfield to attack perfectly in Ilorin. Fabulous.

Douglas Achiv [Lobi Stars]

The midfielder was sheer quality and impressed all over the pitch, scoring once. Overwhelming.

Idris Guda [Wikki Tourists]

Caused a number of problems as he devastated Wolves players and was always looking for the ball. Netted the winner from the spot. Breath-taking.

Austin Ogunye [Lobi Stars]

The former MFM FC star showed tenacity and was rewarded with a goal. Defining.

Mohammed Zulkifilu [Plateau United]

Like trying to catch a greased eel with oiled gloves, Lobi Stars just could not get a grip on Mohammed Zulkifilu as he bagged a double. Significant.

Obioma Chukwuemeka [Abia Warriors]

The striker was absolutely brilliant scoring a brace. Always in the right place at the right time for the two goals. Electrifying.

Godwin Obaje [Abia Warriors]

Like a butcher’s dog that attends weekly yoga classes, the striker was just too fit for the visitors and caused them problems all match. Scored the opener with a dynamic strike. Pulsating.
