Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel revealed why he included Faustino Anjorin in the squad to face Sheffield United on Sunday. The Blues will square-up against the Blades in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup.
Tuchel believes the youngster has the physical ability to play and train with the first-team. Also, he disclosed why he includes his name in the squad to face Sheffield United.
“He has the physical ability to play and train with us at this level. Tuchel told Football London.
“He has some minutes against Barnsley in the cup game, and we try to involve him in the group against Sheffield because he trains very well.
The German disclosed that the club decided to let Anjorin stay rather than loaning him in the summer.
“We decide to keep him instead of him going on out loan in winter. I feel him very strong in finishing in training. He is a nice guy, another nice guy from the academy, very humble.
“He has both feet on the ground, and he is here. I am very grateful to have this chance to learn at this level.
“I am happy with him, and he needs to be patient and impatient at the same time – which is always the target for the young guy.”
The youngster was on the bench as Chelsea progressed to the quarterfinal of the Champions League. They defeated Atletico Madrid by 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
He has scored three goals, created three assists in 8 Premier League 2 games.
