Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles striker Kehinde Ayinde disclosed why he joined Lithuania B Lyga side FK Ekranas from Kwara Football Academy (KFA) – before the end of the Batic transfer window.
Kehinde spent some time with the 2015 Golden Eaglets squad and narrowly missed out on the world cup squad.
After his signature, he disclosed the reason he joined the Blue-Reds after a successful trial. According to Kehinde, he signed for Ekranas because of their style of play.
He, however, revealed that it was a priviledge to play in one of the – greatest teams in Lithuania.
“I enjoy playing football with this great team – because they play good football. It’s a privilege to be among one of the – greatest teams in Lithuania.
He made his debut in a 6-1 victory over Klaipedos Fsm in the first – game of the season. The Nigerian striker played the last fifteen minutes. Half of the goals – were scored by 24-year-old striker Marius Zabarauskas.
Ekranas are second on the log – just on goal-difference behind FK Garliava – won their first game by 6-0.
The Blue-Reds will play their next game against Hegelmann Litauen B on Saturday, April 13.
