Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala scored her 19th goal of the season against Manchester City – to help Barcelona progress to the semifinal of the UEFA Women Champions League.
The Nigerian striker was on target in Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat against Manchester City. However, they progressed 4-1 on aggregate following a 3-0 in Rome.
Jannie Beckie gave the Cityzens the lead, but Oshoala equalized in the 59th minute – by tapping in a cut-back pass from Lluis Cortes.
Manchester City restored their lead nine minutes later through the spot-kick of Samantha Mewis.
Oshoala has scored 19 goals this season.
Barcelona will now face either Lyon or Paris in the semifinals next month.
