Liverpool have revived their desire to sign Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze
But it appears the 21-year-old is on the club’s radar again. Several top clubs in England want to sign him.
Samu has a contract until 2023, which means Villarreal would want a high fee of around €40 million to sell him.
The Reds had a £29.5million bid for Chukwueze rejected during the 2020 January transfer window.
As a teenager he starred in the 2015 U17 World Cup, scoring seven goals in seven matches as Nigeria were crowned champions.
And Liverpool were so impressed that they bid €35m (£29.5m) for him in January 2020.
However, the bid was reportedly turned down by La Liga side Villarreal..
Since his starring role in Nigeria’s U17 World Cup triumph, Chukwueze has progressed into an important first-team player for Villarreal.
Although he primarily plays as a right winger, he can also play on the left flank or as a central attacking midfielder.
