FC St. Gallen have progressed to the next stage of the Swiss Cup after defeating BSC Young Boys 4-1 in the knockout stage at the Kybun Park.
Nigerian youngster Chukwubuike Adamu opened the floodgate for FC St. Gallen on the 33rd minute to end the first half in a 1-0 lead.
After the break, Duah doubled the score with a superb finish on the 50th minute as the visitors reduced the deficit after three minutes through Christian Fassnacht.
Substitute Jeremy Guillemenot and Victor Ruiz scored two late goals to complete their heavy win over BSC Young Boys.
Adamu started his career with the youth team of GSV Wacker. He also played for Grazer AK. 2015 he came to the FC Red Bull Salzburg Academy, where he played in all teams (U15, U16, U18).
In September 2017 he was for the first time part of the FC Liefering squad. He also debuted for the Salzburg UEFA Youth League team, as he came in versus Girondins Bordeaux for Nicolas Meister.
He made his professional debut playing for FC Liefering against WSG Wattens in November 2018 as he came in for Karim Adeyemi.
On February 15, 2021, Adamu moved on loan to Swiss Super League team FC St. Gallen
He is still eligible to represent NIGERIA at the senior level despite playing for Austria at the U18, U19 and U21 level.
