Galatasaray would like to extend the loan of Oghenekaro Etebo — and, if possible, sign the Super Eagles star permanently, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
Stoke City, of course, will have a lot to do with that decision as Etebo has struggled since joining the Potters in 2018. The midfielder joined Gala on loan ahead of the current season.
Etebo immediately became a key player when moving to Gala and has proven to be a very capable midfielder for the Turkish Super Lig side. He has played 20 league games this term.
The Warri Wolves product, meanwhile, has always shown great improvement as a midfielder and he is seizing the opportunity to prove himself in the Super Lig. A potential move will likely come down to three factors:
His willingness to make a move — either for an extended loan or a permanent transfer.
Stoke City’s strategic planning for its roster.
The sum Galatasaray would be willing to pay for Etebo.
Oghenekaro Etebo is slated to return to Stoke City after this season and has a contract that runs through the 2022/2023 season.
