English Premier League side West Ham are interested in signing Peter Olayinka in the summer. The Nigerian striker has been a phenomenon for Slavia Prague this season.
A report from Ruiz, a Czech sports website, says the Nigerian is one of the three players the Hammers want to sign in the summer. West Ham are also interested in signing Abdallah Sima and Ondrej Kolar.
West Ham are having a good campaign in the Premier League – accumulating fifty-five points from thirty-one games. They are also fourth on the log and competing for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The Premier League side want to fortify their squad ahead of next season and identify the three Slavia Prague players as the potential addition to the team.
They have done business with the Czech champions before – when they signed Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal in 2020.
Olayinka has seen his market value increase with his performance this season. He has helped Slavia Prague remain unbeaten in the league – and made through to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.
They are close to making it to the semifinals following a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirate Stadium.
The Nigerian striker signed for Slavia Prague in 2018, and his contract expires at the end of the 2022/2023 season.
Olayinka has scored three goals, created two assists in ten Europa League games. He has also scored six goals and provided three assists in twenty league games.
He is an alumni of 36 Lion.
