Lorient striker Terem Moffi revealed that he hopes of getting an invitation to the national team soonest. The young striker has been on-form for the Ligue 1 side this season, scoring three goals against Bordeaux over the weekend.

The youngster was handed a late invitation to the Super Eagles in March, but restriction due to the spread of the coronavirus prevented him from honouring the invitation.

Speaking to Ouest France, the Nigerian striker disclosed that he dreams of getting an invitation to the national team because it will make him happy.

“I hope to be invited soon. It would make me very happy. There are lots of good players in Nigeria – who play for top clubs in Europe.

“But here, I am focused on my performance in Lorient and the club’s safety in Ligue 1.”

Asked about transfers, Terem stated that he – is focused on the remaining games in the season and how to avoid relegation with Lorient.

“The season is not over, there are four games left, and our focus is on safety, not on transfers. But I want to stay, yes – I have fun here. I love my teammates. So yes.
