Super Eagles midfielder Eddy Ogenyi Onazi scored his first headed goal in Zalgiris Vilnius’s 5-1 victory over Dainava Alytus on Friday evening.
The Nigerian midfielder put his team ahead in the fifteen minutes. The Lazio youth product scored his first goal for the club with a bullet header.
After the clash, Onazi revealed on his social media account that the goal is his first with his head in his professional career.
Before joining the Lithuanian club, Onazil has previously played for Lazio, Trabzonspor, Denizlispor, and SönderjyskE. A fatal injury killed his career with Trabzonspor – and could not replicate his form for Denizlispor.
The win leaves Zalgiris with eighteen points from nine games. In nine A-Lyga games, Onazi has scored and created one for Zalgiris Vilnius.
