Nigeria striker Olarenwaju Kayode has no intention of staying longer at Shakhtar Donetsk when his current deal expires.

Negotiations between the club and the player’s representatives have hit a snag with the Ukrainian giants now willing to put the player on the market in order to avoid his departure on a free transfer if an agreement is not reached.

Shakhtar Donetsk however is not giving up the former Heartland man on a longer contract but they have decided to shelve his issue for now to work on other players.

Kayode has become one of the key components loan at Sivasspor of Turkey.

The forward has been deemed as one of the expendable players last summer in order to free up funds.

His contract is due to expire at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in June 2022.

The forward won’t be short of offers in Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia and South Korea if he decides to leave the Miners.

Kayode has racked up four goals for Nigeria at senior international level.

He numbers ASEC Mimosas, Luzern, Maccabi Netanya, Austria Wien, Manchester City, Girona and Gaziantep FK as his former clubs.
