Striker Chukwubuike Adamu climbed off the bench as St.Gallen qualified for the Swiss Cup final on Wednesday, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
The striker was a 60th minute substitute for Jeremy Guillemenot in the game against Servette which ended 1-0.
Basil Stillhart’s winner arrived in the 83rd minute as St.Gallen marched on to the final.
St.Gallen will face Luzern in the final on 24th May, 2021.
Although Adamu was born in Kano to Nigerian parents, it’s Austria who have made the first move to cap-tie him.
The centre forward made his debut for Austria youth team against Switzerland in October 2018 and has earned 11 caps to date for the age group.
Adamu who models his game around Neymar Jnr is seen as one of the brightest young talents in Austria and made his professional debut for the feeder team of Red Bull Salzburg, FC Liefering, in the 2 Liga in November 2018 at the age of seventeen.
He is on loan to St.Gallen from FC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Bundesliga.
