Former Nigeria U23 striker Austin Amutu popped up with the all important match winner as Al Masry defeated Aswan FC 3-2 in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
The result has now moved Al Masry to third with 32 points from 20 games.
Omar Kama registered the curtain raiser one minute into the thriller.
In the 36th minute, Mohamed Gaber levelled up matters for Aswan FC.
Ahmed Gomaa restored Al Masry’s one-goal lead on 51 minutes.
Three minutes later, Mohamed Osama equalised for the hosts.
It was Amutu who settled the entertaining fixture with a 65th minute winner.
Austin Amutu has hit four goals and provided two assist in 16 league appearances for Al Masry this season.
He lists Pahang, ES Zarzis, Yeni Malatyaspor, Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Warri Wolves, Kelantan FA and Mighty Jets International as his former clubs.
