Nigeria international Ndifreke Effiong has completed his transfer to Libyan Premier League team Al Ahli Benghazi from Akwa United.
Futbalgalore.com.ng has been informed that the versatile footballer will remain on the books of the Benghazi club until October 30, 2024 after appending his signature to a three-and-half-year contract.
The transfer free that Akwa United will receive is reportedly $180,000.
In the first year of his contract with Al Ahli Benghazi, Ndifreke will earn $120,000, and his wages will be upgraded to $150,000 euros in the second year and $180,000 in the third year of his contract. The last six months will see him take home $90,000 and the meaning he will take home $540,000.
A $1.2 million release clause has been inserted into Ndifreke contract if another team is interested in his services.
The ex Abia Warriors star was on the payroll of Akwa United for two years and recorded 38 appearances for the side in the Nigerian top-flight, scoring 18 goals.
Futbalgalore.com.ng has been reliably informed that Abia Warriors will get from the transfer package for the attacker.
Ndifreke was linked with Turkish Super Lig side Antayalspor in the past.
