Akwa United striker Ndifreke Udo Effiong has signed a three-and-half-year contract with Libyan Premier League side Al Ahli Benghazi, Futbalgalore.com.ng reports.
Ndifreke scored eight goals for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club Akwa United before he moved to Libya.
He is regarded as a big prospect capable of hitting 20 goals per season.
The versatile lad, who could also play in midfield and defence, won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
He has been playing mainly as a second striker at Akwa United this season.
Futbalgalore.com.ng gathered that the all-action striker, who came through the ranks at Abia Warriors, was linked with Antalyaspor in the past.
Ahli Benghazi are fifth on the Libyan Premier League ladder with 12 points from four games.
