The former Chelsea youth team player has been in tremendous form this season in the Championship, scoring six goals, creating eleven assists in forty-three games.

His performance for the Royals this season has earned him the EFL Young Player of the Season. And he has struck the attention of top Premier League clubs.

Paunovic told Reading Chronicle that the youngster must learn from adversities and reduce the pressure he inserts on himself.

“He is almost picky in his performances. If he doesn’t have a perfect performance – he can get disappointed.

“But, that is because he is young. He’ll learn how to deal with adversities. That’s where he has to get better.

“He has to also acknowledge and appreciate himself more because he demands so much from himself that sometimes he doesn’t understand that goes against him and consequently against the team. “

The coach also revealed that the young striker must improve his productivity and work rate without the ball.

“He can enjoy the game more and can improve in his execution – I think he can score more goals and have more courage without the ball.

“All these things he is aware of. We’ve measured his progress together. Huge credit to him, he has done great.”
