Azeez Mohammed began his first match in charge of Katsina United with an empthatic victory.
The formation chosen for the Team of the Week is a 4-3-3 with several players making it.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa – Heartland
The former Enyimba keeper ensured his side kept a clean sheet and helped his side to a victory over Adamawa United.
Chigozie Obasi – Nasarawa United
The full back helped his side ease to a 2-1 victory over Kwara United. Wasn’t really tested defensively. Attacked in his customary fashion for most of the match and provided two sweet assists.
Augustine Opara – Heartland
The former MFM FC skipper helped his side earn a crucial victory against Adamawa United, keeping a clean sheet in the process. The hosts can count themselves somewhat unlucky not to have scored, judging from the amount of chances they created but none the less it was a positive performance from the charismatic Opara.
Pascal Eze – Heartland
He may not be the quickest and loves a moan at the referee but Eze is a pretty effective defender. Has good positional sense and seems to enjoy the challenge of coming up against physical strikers.
Sani Faisal – Katsina United
Sani put in a typically solid performance and helped his side earn a victory against Wikki Tourists. Not as fast as he used to be but still looked to attack when possible from his left back position.
Fatai Abdullahi – Abia Warriors
The former Ikorodu United midfielder was heavily involved throughout the game and scored a stunning goal for his side.
Anas Yusuf – Nasarawa United
Showed a tactical awarness and understanding that belied his age. Playing as a holding midfielder he made a number of interventions and recovery runs to help keep the Kwara United at bay for the majority of the match. His strike should candidate for goal of the season.
Joseph Atule – Katsina United
An impressive display from Atule. He was instrumental in starting moves and carrying the ball forward. The youngster was involved in three goals, scoring one and providing two assists.
Samuel Kalu – Katsina United
A constant threat to the Wikki Tourists defense. Dropped deep to initiate attacks for his side and also looked to run in beyond the Giant Elephants’ backline. Scored a goal and accounted for an assist.
Ibrahim Mustapha – Plateau United
The former Enyimba man ran his socks of for his side against Abia Warriors, pressing the Umuahia Warriors defenders whenever he got the chance and holding up the ball well. Was rewarded for his endevaour with a brace.
Rasheed Ahmed – Katsina United
Two goals for the Changi Boys. And all this from the man who seemed like he had forgotten how to score at Katsina United. Seemed to thrive on playing in this attacking Azeez Mohammed team and received the type of service he was lacking in the first stanza.
