Nigerian winger Ibrahim Sunusi makes Montreal Impact debut against Gonzalo Higuain’s Inter Miami

Nigerian winger Ibrahim Sunusi played his first-ever match for Montreal Impact in their 2-0 win over Gonzalo Higuain’s Inter Miami in the MLS on Thursday morning, reports.

Sunusi climbed off the bench to replace Romell Quioto in the 74th minute as the Wilfried Nancy managed team sealed a comfortable victory at DRV PNK Stadium.

Bjoern Maars Johnsen opened the scoring for the visitors in the 14th minute.

Johnsen put the icing on the cake with a fine strike to make it 2-0.

Ibrahim Sunusi signed for Montreal from 36 Lion FC in January 2021.

He previously played with Nasarawa United, where he put up 10 goals in 22 games to become the leading scorer in the first division of the Nigerian Professional Football League.

The 18-year-old also has experience with Nigeria’s under-23 and CHAN squad.
